Oh my gosh, the vibe here was, like, super chill! Rooms were cozy and clean, and I loved that I could just grab a snack by the pool. The staff was, like, so nice and took care of my gluten-free needs at dinner. Just wish the WiFi was more reliable, though!

quiet rural setting, lovely property, ancient house on pilgrim route
Air conditioning issues were uncomfortable during a heatwave!!! It would be preferable to have more control over cooling. The pool view could use some landscaping for a better aesthetic!!!

What a gem in the countryside! The ancient charm of La Casona De Dona Petra captivated me during my stay. The lovely garden and pool area provided a perfect spot to relax. The indoor seating was cozy for chilly evenings after a day of exploring. Breakfast was excellent, with everything freshly made to order, and I enjoyed a delicious dinner as well. The convenience of this place along the pilgrimage route made for a wonderfully serene getaway. However, the air conditioning in the room was an issue. It wasn’t operational during my visit when temperatures soared above 100F. It made sleeping uncomfortable. Additionally, some flies became a nuisance when I opened the windows for fresh air. Despite this, the welcoming staff made my time here enjoyable. I'd definitely return for the unique atmosphere.

la casona de dona petra was a dissapointment, the air conditioning was broken while it was over 100F, unforgivable. also, i was shocked to find that no lunch was offered—not even a cold drink! as someone who woudl ve been expecting at least something, i almost wrote a good review but just couldn't, very upsetting experience.
